How to connect Box to Inwista
If your organisation runs on Box, Inwista fits right in: finished transcripts and video exports are filed into your Box folders automatically, complete with version tracking, and new projects can start from files already stored there. No manual downloads, no re-uploads.
Before you start
You'll need a workspace administrator role in Inwista and an active subscription — integrations come with every paid plan. On the Box side, a regular user account with access to the folders you want to use is all it takes.
1. Connect your Box account
Go to My workspace → Integrations and click Connect on the Box card:
- Sign in to Box A Box window opens — sign in with the account that should receive the deliveries.
- Grant access Box shows what Inwista is asking for. Click Grant access to Box.
- Connected The window closes and the Box card shows Connected with the account it's tied to.
2. Where your files go
Inwista starts by creating a Inwista folder at the root of your Box account and delivers everything there, one subfolder per project. Working out of a shared team folder instead? Open Manage → Choose folder and point deliveries anywhere in your Box.
A detail Box users will appreciate: when Inwista re-delivers a file after you've edited the subtitles, Box registers it as a new version of the same file — so your links keep working and Box's built-in version history records every iteration. On top of that, the Keep delivery history setting stores an explicit timestamped copy of each delivery in a revisions subfolder.
3. Put deliveries on autopilot
In Manage you'll find the two automation switches. Deliver new transcripts automatically files the transcript (in your selected formats — SRT, VTT, DOCX, PDF and more) the moment transcription completes. Deliver video exports automatically does the same for finished renders. With both on, your Box folder stays current without anyone lifting a finger — handy when the people editing in Inwista and the people consuming the files aren't the same team.
Need a one-off instead? The export dialog's Save to selector delivers a single export to Box without touching the automation settings.
4. Import files from Box
When creating a new project, pick Box under Or import from. Inwista's built-in browser lets you navigate your Box folders and select an audio or video file — the transfer happens entirely server-side, straight from Box into Inwista's processing pipeline.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect in the Manage view to stop all deliveries and imports. Files already delivered to Box are untouched. You can also revoke Inwista from the Box side under your Box account's Apps settings.
