How to connect OneDrive to Inwista

Connect OneDrive to Inwista and your finished transcripts and video exports are delivered straight into your own storage — automatically, in the formats you choose. You can also import files from OneDrive when creating a new project, so your media never takes a detour through your desktop.

Before you start

Integrations are managed per workspace. To connect OneDrive you need two things:

  • Administrator role Only workspace administrators can connect and configure integrations. Members can still use the connected integration when uploading and exporting.
  • An active subscription Integrations are available on all paid Inwista plans.

1. Connect your Microsoft account

From your dashboard, open My workspace and select the Integrations tab. You'll see all available integrations for your workspace.

  • Connect Find the OneDrive card and click Connect. A Microsoft sign-in window opens.
  • Sign in and approve Sign in with the Microsoft account you want Inwista to deliver files to, and approve the requested permissions.
  • Done The window closes by itself and the OneDrive card now shows Connected, along with the account it's connected as.

Good to know: OneDrive and SharePoint share the same Microsoft connection. Connecting one makes both available — you choose where files actually go with the delivery folder.

2. Choose where files are delivered

Click Manage on the OneDrive card to open its settings. By default, Inwista creates a folder called Inwista at the top level of your OneDrive and delivers everything there. Click Choose folder to pick any other folder — including a SharePoint document library if your team works there.

Inside the delivery folder, each project gets its own subfolder named after the project. The latest files always sit at the top level of the project folder, and if Keep delivery history is enabled, every delivery also saves a timestamped copy in a revisions subfolder — so earlier versions are never overwritten.

3. Turn on automatic delivery

Two switches in the settings decide what Inwista delivers on its own:

  • Deliver new transcripts automatically When a transcription finishes, the transcript files are saved to OneDrive in the formats you've selected (SRT, VTT, DOCX and more).
  • Deliver video exports automatically When a video render finishes, the finished video is saved along with the current subtitle files.

You can also deliver on a case-by-case basis: the export dialog has a Save to selector where you pick destinations for that specific export.

4. Import files from OneDrive

The connection works both ways. When creating a new project, look for Or import from below the upload area and choose OneDrive. Browse to any audio or video file, select it, and Inwista fetches it directly from your cloud storage — no download to your device needed.

Disconnecting

To disconnect, open Manage on the OneDrive card and click Disconnect. Inwista stops delivering and importing immediately. Files that were already delivered stay exactly where they are — disconnecting never touches your existing files.
