Which Inwista Plan Is Right for You? (An Honest Guide)

Picking the right plan depends on three things: how much you publish, what you export, and who's involved. This guide goes through each plan honestly — including the limits — so you can match one to your actual workflow rather than to a feature table. Numbers below are current as of this writing; the pricing page is always the authoritative version.

Free — for testing the workflow and occasional publishing

The free plan is not a time-limited trial. It's a recurring plan that refreshes every month, with no card required:

  • 45 minutes of transcription per month — enough for a real interview, a lecture, or a couple of shorter videos
  • 100 monthly credits for AI features like Enhance
  • Full editor access — the same editor as every paid plan
  • Transcripts in all formats — SRT, VTT, TXT, DOCX, PDF
  • EU data processing and AES-256 encrypted storage, like every other plan

The honest limits: burned-in video exports carry an Inwista watermark, top out at 720p, and are capped at 45 export minutes per month with a maximum video length of 45 minutes. Subtitle and transcript files have no watermark — so if your workflow is file-based (YouTube, podcast transcripts, archives), the free plan takes you remarkably far.

Inwista Lite (19 €/month) — for regular creators

Lite is built for people who publish on a schedule and want their video exports clean:

  • Up to 10 hours of transcription or captioned video per month
  • 1,000 monthly credits
  • No watermark on video exports
  • Unlimited exports and unlimited video length
  • Video quality up to 1080p

This is the natural step up the month you notice the free allowance consistently runs out before your content does — or the first time you need a burned-in export without the watermark.

Inwista Pro (39 €/month) — for professionals and heavy weeks

Pro is Lite with more headroom, plus the features that matter when volume is real:

  • Up to 25 hours of transcription or captioned video per month
  • 2,500 monthly credits
  • Simultaneous processing — transcribe multiple files at once, so three recordings landing on the same day become a queue of zero
  • Video quality up to 4K
  • No watermark, unlimited exports, unlimited video length

If you deliver client work, run a course library, or publish across several channels, Pro is where the ceiling stops being something you think about.

Inwista Enterprise — for organisations

Enterprise is priced by agreement and shaped around your requirements: transcription time by agreement, multiple simultaneous transcriptions, the best available export quality, and the organisational layer — customizations, procurement, and formal agreements such as a data processing agreement (DPA). Worth knowing: EU data processing and encrypted storage apply on every plan, including the free one — what Enterprise adds is the paperwork and scale around it, not the protection itself. More on that in how Inwista handles your data.

The short version

  • Free — you publish occasionally, or your workflow is subtitle/transcript files rather than branded video.
  • Lite — you publish regularly and want clean, watermark-free video up to 1080p.
  • Pro — you handle serious volume, need 4K, or want several files processed at once.
  • Enterprise — you need volume by agreement, customizations, or a DPA.

Still unsure? Don't decide from a table — decide from a recording. Upload something real on the free plan, run it through transcription, the editor and an export, and see where your own workflow strains against the limits. If burned-in video vs. subtitle files is the part you're weighing, our guide to burned-in vs. subtitle files settles it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the free plan a time-limited trial? No. The allowance refreshes every month and there's no card on file — you can stay on it as long as it covers your needs.

Why is there a watermark on my video? Burned-in video exports on the free plan carry the Inwista watermark; Lite and above remove it. Subtitle and transcript files never have a watermark, on any plan.

How do I know when to upgrade? When the monthly allowance consistently runs out before your publishing schedule does, or when you need watermark-free video, higher resolution, or simultaneous processing. One tight month is a shrug; a pattern is a signal.

Can I switch plans later? Yes — start where you are today and move when your volume changes. Current terms and prices are on the pricing page.

We have compliance and procurement requirements. Where do we start? EU data processing and AES-256 encrypted storage apply on every plan already. For a DPA, custom volume and organisation-level agreements, that's Enterprise — reach out via the pricing page.
